Ham is the perfect holiday meal to have during the holiday season, knowing that most families eat a roast turkey for their main holiday meal. Prepping a ham is a safe bet for a gathering or party as well as they are large and feed a lot of people. You can serve it cold or hot, but the best part about a holiday ham is the glaze. Here’s a quite and easy retro ham glaze that has never let me down!

  • c
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • c
    3/4 cup honey
  • c
    1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • c
    1/4 cup apple juice
  • c
    1 tsp orange zest (optional)
  • c
    pinch of salt

To use, score the ham, making ½ in sized cubes in the top fat. Whisk together the ingredients in a 4-cup capacity glass measuring cup. Brush over the ham and bake according to your ham recipe. If wanted, 20 minutes before removing the ham, place pineapple rings and cherries on top, then brush again with the glaze. Place back in the oven for another 20 minutes, then remove and serve.
